MS took it all--the ability to walk, read, sing, and my teaching career--all except my faith. Everything that told me who I was and everything that gave life meaning, stripped away in one massive attack. MS catapulted me into my wilderness. What do you do, and who are you, after that kind of loss? Is there meaning, purpose, or value in life anymore?
If God is good, there has to be a way through...even something as devastating as MS. I determined to find all the good I could along this path. Jesus knows His way around the wilderness--He has been there. He walks Through The Wilderness with us. These are some of the treasures I found.
We live in a fast paced world in our modern times. A world which have through the years taken God slowly out of the picture. A world bent on evil and unrighteousness, even to the point of disregarding the life of another human being, made in the image of God. The writer of (2Timothy-3:1-5) in his letter is writing to the young minister Timothy, and is therein declaring to him, the signs of the last days, expressed in the charateristics of men, not only outside of the church but inside of the church. Paul, the writer of the epistle informs Timothy, that in the last days perilous or dangerous times will come, both inside and outside of the church. The reason Paul have relayed to Timothy is because of the list outlined in (2Timothy-3:1-5). Men would be lovers of themselves etc., It is because of this one especially, self-love, which would elevate the evil within the spirit of the minds of those that are given to it. The world is filled with "Hustlers," and these hustlers are in the business of hustling others in order to fulfill their own evil lust, even to the point of taking the very life of another human being! The word "Hustle" means to push or sholve or to step on another to accomplish one's own evil lust. Selfpresevation in and of itself is a healthy thing, if persued God's way as is outlined in the sacred Scriptures: it is not self-love! In the world the word is used as "slang" to mean to "get over on another in order to get one's desires by any means necessary." This have resulted in the world in which we now live, a very, very dangerous place to be lost in and without God in one's life! There are even "hustlers" that are mixed among those in the church to run this same game as do the world, the bible call them "greedy and dumb dogs," as they have the character of such an animal, and most dogs will always show their teeth before they bite! These be the tares sown among the wheat, which the enemy (the devil) have sown in the church. These creep in unawares, and they seduce those that are weak and burdened with sin, ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth. These husters, hustle the people of God in the church. My friend, the apostle is here saying in essence to Timothy, "It's A Hustling Game" "This Know Also!" This my friend is a book you do not want to be without because the individual being hustled, usually are not aware of it until it's too late in the game! The world have a saying, "Don't hate the player hate the game!" God will one day destroy both the player and the game! Get this book today, you will be blessed!
